Adventure is Better with Your Best Friend

At Yellowstone Dreamin Retreat, we don’t just "allow" pets—we cater to them. With 30+ years of experience in horsemanship and dog breeding, our founders have designed a retreat where your animals are as safe, comfortable, and welcome as you are.

Why Our On-Site Kennels are a Game Changer

To protect the park's fragile ecosystem and the safety of your pets, Yellowstone National Park has very strict rules. Pets are strictly prohibited on all trails, boardwalks, and in the backcountry. Essentially, your dog’s visit to the park is restricted to within 100 feet of roads and parking lots.

ⓘ Because of these "car-based" rules, many dogs spend their vacation trapped in a hot vehicle while their owners explore. At Yellowstone Dreamin Retreat, we provide a better way.

Don't leave your dog in the car. Our professional kennel facility ensures your pet stays cool, safe, and happy while you’re out spotting wolves or hiking the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

Daytime "Play & Stay" Kennels

We offer 8 climate-controlled indoor kennels, each featuring a connected outdoor run so your dog can enjoy the fresh Montana air.

Our founder has over 30 years of experience breeding and raising dogs. Your pup isn't just in a kennel; they are in safe, knowledgeable hands.

Our staff loves animals! Whenever possible, we provide short walks for friendly dogs. If your pup gets lonely, we can often place one of our own friendly resident dogs in a nearby kennel for companionship.

  • Schedule & Rates:

    • Daytime Use Only: To ensure a peaceful night for all guests, kennels are available during the day (No overnight boarding).

    • 1–4 Hours: $25

    • 4–8 Hours: $40

We love having your best friend join you for the "Retreat" portion of your trip. To ensure a harmonious stay for everyone, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

Staying at the Retreat (In-Tent Policy)

  • The "Unattended" Rule: For the safety of your pet and our high-end furnishings, dogs may not be left unattended in the tents. New environments can be stressful; unattended dogs may cause damage or bark, disturbing the quiet atmosphere for other guests.

  • Leash & Cleanliness: To protect our 24 acres and the local wildlife, all dogs must remain on a leash while on the grounds. We provide disposable waste bags on-site and appreciate your help in keeping the retreat pristine.
